Enhancing the lives of women and youth in our community

and around the world. Rise and Shine with us!

President Lisa opened today's meeting at 7;39 a.m.

Invocation ( none today)

Sunshine Healing thoughts and prayers continue for Theresa's sister's partner who continues treatment but doing well, to Wendy's sister who is better and working on recovery, and to our President Lisa who is doing well but has a long road ahead with her clavicle.

Guests Mirelle Zamudio - welcome!

Today was our monthly Business Meeting. We received thank You's from Tahoe Learning Haven, Awaken, Tahoe Magic, and Kiwanis (for our donation to Coats for Kids)

A highlight of the meeting was the induction of new member, Karen Goldberg. Karen splits her work schedule between the Lake Tahoe Unified School District and the Family Resource Center. Both of her kids are in college so she now has time to get more involved. Her husband, Martin, is a firefighter for Lake Valley Fire and tonight he's getting "pinned" as a battalion chief.

A lot of discussion centered on Mad Hatter updates. All of the tables now have sponsors and tickets can now be purchased on our website. Keep getting those donations for the online auction. For the next 2 weeks bring donations to Lisa Huard.

Committee Reports:

Awards: 5 Live Your Dream awardees to be celebrated at our meeting March 20. Our Ruby winner will be acknowledged at our March 13 meeting. GIVE applications are due this Friday.

YES committee: meeting March 10 to select our scholarship recipients.

Dream It, Be It - creating several Life Skills sessions for 6-8 Mt. Tallac girls. They've already gone to a bank (thank you to our Hellen Barkley) and this week learned a lot about cosmetology from Kelly at Sessions.

Working on new branded apparel. Members please remember to bring non perishable items to any meeting for the LTCC food pantry.

It pays to clean out our storage: 20 new in packaging donated to Live Violence Free, and 14 plush teddy bears donated to SLTPD to give to children in crises.

After the meeting Shelly provided a "Valentine Making" social complete with treat bags and Valentine card supplies.

Be a part of our Spring Fundraisers!

Our Online Auction opens Friday, May 16 and closes on Friday, May 30, 2024 at 5:00 PM.

We all can make a difference in the lives of others, together!

Mad Hatter Tickets go on sale SOON through the website AND we have a return of our Vacation Raffle opportunities thanks to the generosity of the Jean Bergner, Cookie Rork, and Jeanne Prestella! Here we go ladies!
