President Lisa Cali called the meeting to order on this snowy morning.
Lydia's Invocation was a reprise of her annual Christmas light string frustration. But the lesson here is to look to the Beauty and Grace of the season and not be distracted by the little (or big) frustrations.
Sunshine goes out to Lois, hoping she feels better soon.
Correspondence: Thank you letters were received from TASK, STMS leadership students, El Dorado Community Foundation, Tahoe Rim Trail and Mt. Tallac Students. Wendy read several moving letters from the Mt. Tallace students thanking us for their Thanksgiving Feast last week.
Business meeting: After the approval of minutes and the Treasurer's Report we moved on to Old business.
Lisa reported that Barton Hospital and South Shore Glass have both signed up to be SiTS sponsors at $750 each. The electronic Auction donation email letter goes out next week and the hard copy to members will be sent in January. Vanna consolidated a list of unsolicited businesses and passed it around for sign ups.
| Our new logo has been approved and the banner has been delivered thanks to all the hard work from Andie S. We are excited to use it at the Festival of Lights this weekend. We will be selling raffle tickets for two lovely Christmas baskets and also Mistletoe bundles for a donation of $5. The museum will be open and decorated and Santa will be available for requests in front of the Osgood Toll House. Entertainment, Food and Activities are planned throughout the evening. Lots of vendors will be offering their unique goods for your Christmas shopping pleasure. Join us for a fun and festive celebration. More information can be found by clicking here. |
Laurie announced that our website will now be supported by David Gill from Manz Design. Lisa C. is compiling a member cookbook and recipes should be submitted to her by this weekend.
Our own Christmas Party Breakfast will be held next week, Dec. 19, during our regular meeting time. Food sign ups can be found at https://signup.com/go/PXWZcCX. Please bring a wrapped gift of $15 or less for exchange and wear your prettiest ugly sweater! If you have an extra table decoration, please bring it to enhance our decor. And if you have an extra gift for exchange, we would love to provide some for our young women from STHS and LTCC. Remember, no alcohol.
Mad Hatter tickets will be available soon on the Auction Site.
Jean requested that all the fundraising committees send her a list of job descriptions and number of people needed for each so we can make it available for signups.
