Enhancing the lives of women and youth

in our community and the world.

Today's meeting in Review!

Our meeting was on Zoom today because of weather concerns.

Our member focus and fun meeting was opened today by President Paula and presided over by Nancy.

The Invocation was provided by Lydia Rogers. Lydia reminded us that traditions are the thread from old to new but they can and should evolve. Life changes, needs change, we need to change as well. Hold fast to the truth that kindness, tenderness, courage and hope will carry us through whatever changes life brings us.

Sunshine: Hold Helen Barclay and Laurie and Jay Brazil in your thoughts and prayers.

Today's meeting was all about our members sharing their Holiday traditions. We had lots of laughs, nods of understanding and agreement and a better knowledge of each other after all the stories were told. We shared some of our favorite Christmas movies: Here are a few that come highly recommended:

Spirited, Love Actually, The Family Man, Falling for Christmas, Love Hard, and a series called Lily and Dash.

Whoohoo! We have two Premier Sponsors whom we will begin to highlight for a YEAR as they partner with us to enhance the lives of others! Thank you to Kim Valverde, Coldwell Banker Select Realtor and also the Zephyr Cove Office of Coldwell Banker Select Real Estate - Lake Tahoe's oldest and largest real estate company, nestled in located in scenic Zephyr Cove, Nevada. BOTH are returning Sponsors and we so appreciate their support and partnership for these many years!

We received a special THANK YOU note from

Mt. Tallac School for helping with their Thanksgiving meal on Friday, November 18. A special thank you to Jeanne Prestella for preparing three of the turkeys, Shirley Barr for donating pumpkin pies, and Julie Nelson for side dishes. The students reacted with BIG smiles, and constant thank yous!

THANK YOU LADIES FOR ALL YOU DO!!

2023 FUNDRAISER: The Spring is going to be extra fun with the plans that we have! A Mad Hatter's Tea Party at Valhalla on April 30 along with the opening of our ONLINE Auction! And we also will be raffling off two separate condo/timeshare stays!

Again there will be TWO levels of Club Sponsorships, Premier and Grand and both are spectacular!

Share Your Thoughts in the Lake Tahoe Resident Survey

As a resident of the Lake Tahoe region, we need your perspectives and experiences related to tourism and outdoor recreation.

The Tahoe Fund has joined with more than a dozen organizations to create a shared Destination Stewardship Plan. This plan will collectively redefine how destination management can better serve the greater Tahoe region — now and into the future.

Everyone has a role in this process, which is why we need your input.

Please complete this critical 5–7-minute survey that will help guide and improve tourism and outdoor recreation management efforts. Your responses are anonymous and confidential.

With the holidays coming there’s certainly a lot of styrofoam waste that will be generated. While our local dump does not recycle styrofoam, or any Polystyrene PS-6 products, Atlas Molded Products in Reno does! They are open until 5 Monday to Friday and will take any clean PS-6 including packing puffs (not the kind made from corn starch- only styrofoam ones), big white blocks, supermarket meat trays, takeout containers, and crunchy cookie trays. Just make sure anything you give them is clean and marked PS-6. 775-343-3400.
