Enhancing the lives of women and youth

in our community and the world.

Our business meeting was opened by President Shelly, she always brings smiles and so much heart to our meetings.

Invocation: Lydia read her heartfelt invocation that revolved around Henry Van Dykes poem:

Time is very slow for those who wait

Very fast for those who are scared

Very long for those who lament

Very short for those who celebrate

But for those who love, time is eternal.

Sunshine: Good thoughts go forward for Dennis Nelson's continued recovery from surgery, Theresa's classmate's father who is suffering from Cancer and, of course, for our own Shirley's wrist recovery.

Our business meeting today was presided over by President Shelly. Correspondence was read and we received thank you's from NASCAR for Jeanne Prestella's application for a Grant in honor of Wendy's outstanding community service. She did not win, but was encouraged to reapply next year. A Thank You was also received from our LTCC Scholarship winner, Ann Marie Howard.

Our District 5 winter meeting will be put on by SI Truckee Meadows. More information will be forthcoming.

Paula participated in the Vallhalla Tahoe Improv performance and the Improv company donated $1200 to our club in thanks. What a great community collaboration. Thanks for your participation, Paula, you are a good sport!

Reminder: Next week is our Tahoe Arts Project presentation of Living Voices: Cesar Chavez. These presentations are extremely popular and are a wonderful time to bring guests. Don't forget to come early as the presentation takes the whole hour and will start on time!
