Students are expected to come to school dressed appropriately, regardless of theme, so no revealing or inappropriate clothing, please!

WEDNESDAY - Throwback Day- Dress from your favorite decade.

THURSDAY - Class Colors: 9th-White, 10th-Purple, 11th-Black, 12th-Red

FRIDAY- Sports/College Day- Represent your favorite team/school.

STUDENTS: Don't forget, the Homecoming dance was moved from Sept. 25 to Sept. 24, which means the dance is THIS FRIDAY from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and can be bought at lunch until Wednesday. Don't forget to bring your signed permission slip!

What is Destiny Day?

Destiny Day is coming up this week on Tuesday, Sept. 21 for our students. It's a day for St. Joan Antida to go out into the community and have an opportunity to learn more about college, careers, service to others, and have some fun.

We do four of these per year, and students rotate through four different opportunities to learn and experience great things about Milwaukee.

They'll be doing:

  • A Business Tour with Mr. Mro
  • A Fun Activity with SJA Administration
  • A College visit with Ms. Woods
  • A Service Activity with Mrs. Seidl

Progress Reports

We will be mailing out Progress Reports for all students this week. We will also include PowerSchool login information so you can monitor your daughter's academic progress at all times. This is a helpful tool for keeping up with your daughter's grades, missing assignments, and attendance.

Quarter 1 ends on Oct 15 - we have 4 more weeks to finish strong!

In School & Ready for Success!

This month is attendance awareness month. Did you know that students that attend their classes regularly not only have better grades they also have a higher graduation rate?

It is so important for our students to be in school every day if they're feeling well and ready to learn. This includes our Wednesday Empower hour. As much as our Empower Hour is a fun way to learn new facts and skills, it's also a credit-earning class that puts you on track to graduate.

Our student services team has some helpful tools to increase attendance here.

Mental Health Support

This month is suicide awareness month, and SJA wants our students, families, and staff to know that they are not alone if they need help. Our student services team has provided some helpful information to look out for warning signs and where to go for support. Find the info here.

No School Sept. 27

There is no school Monday, Sept. 27. Enjoy the long weekend!
