SJA Hosts NEK Model United Nations


On Saturday, SJA hosted its annual Northeast Kingdom Model United Nations Conference. Three other schools sent delegates who joined our own in seeking international solutions to environmental and political issues. Student organizers for the event included (pictured, l-r) Ceylin Sutcu '23, Hannah MacDonald '23, Laura Ponoran '24, Maaike Dam '24, and Eric Chen '23. Other organizers were Carson Farnham '26, Aliah Hale '26, Daniyal Aryngazin '24, and Alisher Aryngazin '24. Fernanda Bustamente '25 was named Best Delegate on her committee, and Maya Krooth '25 was named Best First-Time Delegate. 

Group Visits VT Supreme Court


Members of the Student Diversity Council traveled to Montpelier last week to attend the Vermont Supreme Court's public hearing of the court's Commission on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. Following the event, the students visited with the justices before posing for a photo. The group included Konosuke Oi '24, Chief Justice Reiber, Justice Waples, Addie Chandler '25, Hannah Keith '23, Katlyn Zheng '23.

Chapel Talk on Autism


Vishesh Prasad '24 (l) and Channing Roper '25 delivered a powerful Chapel Talk last week to recognize Autism Awareness Month.

SkillsUSA Medalists

The gold medalists will travel to Atlanta, GA, in June to represent VT at the national competition.

AROUND CAMPUS

Ms. Darling's Fashion students are busy putting the final touches on their designs in preparation for next Thursday's (April 20) Fashion Show. The show will be broadcast live on nsnsports.net at 8:00 AM and 8:40 AM during the student assemblies. The public is welcome to attend the evening event at 6:30 PM in Fuller Hall.
