Vermont SkillsUSA Medalists
Congratulations to our Vermont SkillsUSA medalists. Devlin Murphy '27 is the State Champion in Baking and Pastry Arts. Calvin Andre '25 is the bronze Medalist in Welding. Dominic Gilley '25 is the bronze Medalist in Plumbing. Adrianna Depina-Bailey '25 is the State Champion in Restaurant Services. Molly Larrabee '27 is the bronze Medalist in Welding Sculpture. Justin Louis '25, Ernie Roy '25, Casey Prue '25, and Connor Brigham '25 are the State Champions in TeamWorks. They will begin preparing for the National competition in June in Atlanta.

| | Members of our faculty took the stage in Chapel this week for Musical Monday. View their performance here. | | Former SJA math teacher Craig Weston visited with the Math Club to show students some of the equipment used by land surveyors in the field. The students then competed in a Trig-Star competition put on by the National Society of Professional Surveyors. The test is an annual high school mathematics competition based on the practical application of Trigonometry. | | Students in Ms. Darling's fashion classes are finishing their designs before tomorrow's Spring Fashion Show. The public is welcome to attend the evening show at 6:30 PM in Fuller Hall. Mr. Shea and his film students will record the morning sessions and make the video available for viewing later in the day. | | Boys' Cross Country Coach Brandon Legendre received the Vermont Boys Coach of the Year award from Mr. Rainville and Mr. Lenzi in Chapel. The award is sponsored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). | | During this year's winter holiday break, senior Ruth Krebs traveled to Anchorage, Alaska, to compete in the U.S. Senior Cross Country Ski Nationals. She competed in 3 races and finished ranked 6th for all women 18 and under in the U.S. This qualified her to be one of the 9 women representing the United States at the Nordic Nations cup in Norway, where she achieved a top 15 finish. And finally, Ruth competed at the US Cross Country Junior National Championships in Utah. In her sprint race, Ruth placed 4th overall in the country, earning All-American honors. | | Ninth grader Amalie Pratt recently competed with 15- and 16-year-old athletes from countries all over the world at the Liatoppen Biathlon Festival in Norway. Biathlon combines Nordic/cross-country skiing and precision rifle shooting. After 3 days of ski training and shooting practice, Amalie raced in the relay, sprint, and mass start races. In the relay, she hit 6 out of 10 targets as the second person on her team. In the mass start, she hit 4 of the targets and finished 8th in her wave. | The Boys' and Girls' Indoor Track and Field teams presented their runner-up trophies to Mr. Lenzini in Chapel. | Mr. Lenzini presented certificates to members of the Alpine Ski team in Chapel last week: Henry Semp '27 (All State Ski Team), Colton Evans '28 (Eastern High School Championship Team), Zane Faherty '27 (All State Ski Team), Zack Alamuddin '25 (All State Ski Team), and Andrew Gorman '25 (All State Ski Team and Eastern High School Championship Team). | Photos from Friday's Varsity Ultimate game versus Middlebury can be viewed here. | Photos from last week's JV Softball win over Brattleboro can be viewed here. | | |
