ANNOUNCEMENTS
Junior Shelby Lizotte, and seniors Madison Flanagan and Cecilia Sweeney presented their science projects during the school’s Science Fair before the break. Each of the projects was reviewed by NVU-Lyndon students majoring in science from NVU-Lyndon who offered feedback through conversations with the students as part of the process.
Members of the SJA Chess Club participated in the state tournament over break. Sophomore Kanan Gasimov (above) finished in 7th place, and junior Eric Chen and freshman Oliver Greenway finished in a tie for 5th place.
On May 6 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM, St. Johnsbury Academy is opening its doors to the community for a celebration of Hispanic culture. Latino students, Spanish Language students, and local performers such as Bobby Farlice-Rubio will sing and dance, Phil and Patsy will do a tango performance and share their excitement for and love of the varied and rich Latino cultures. Sample delicious Hispanic treats prepared by the Academy's culinary students. Kids, parents, and grandparents will all find something to love at this fiesta. Location: Streeter Hall Amphitheater
Want to learn something new and exciting this summer? Interested in doing a sports camp? Maybe you would like to get a PE credit this summer to make room for another elective this fall? How about getting a jumpstart on a math class?

This year St. Johnsbury Academy is thrilled to offer an expansive summer program including Prep & Enrichment Courses, Athletic Camps, and Bridge Programs.

Prep & Enrichment courses will run between the weeks of June 20–July 28. The prep courses are for rising 9th graders and the enrichment classes are for grades 7-12 except for Moving Minds and Muscles which is open to students in the 6th through 8th grade. Earn credit for all Prep & Enrichment courses.

We also have a robust schedule of Athletics Programs for grades 3-12. And our Bridge Programs are for students moving from 8th to 9th grade. There is something for every student to learn and enjoy in the SJA 2022 Summer Program.

AROUND CAMPUS
Mr. Reis' drawing students have returned to the Fairbanks Museum where they use the displays as inspirations for their drawings.
As part of their Career Explorations class, Mrs. Kendall's students visited the welding shop to learn more about a career in welding. In the upcoming weeks, they will be visiting other classrooms on campus.
The Spring Fashion Show returned to Fuller Hall this year and was a huge success.
