ADULT EDUCATION CLASSES AT ST. JOHNSBURY ACADEMY
The St. Johnsbury Academy Adult Education Program prepares students to meet their career goals and enrich their lives and offers training solutions for local businesses. We provide educational opportunities covering industry-specific skill training and credentialing, general employability skills, and personal enrichment. We prepare our students for current and future educational and workplace opportunities through hands-on learning, authentic workplace experiences, and classroom instruction.
For 2022 we have many new offerings including Career and Technical Training, Home Improvement Skills, Life Skills, and Enrichment courses, as well as Professional Development courses — all designed to help you learn, grow, and succeed. Take a look for learning that can upgrade your future!

VERMONT SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA JUKEBOX QUARTET
Programs by the Vermont Symphony Orchestra’s Jukebox Quartet allow four outstanding members of the Orchestra a chance to strut their stuff with an eclectic mix of contemporary and classical repertoire presented in an informal format.
For our March 12, 2022 concert, we’re shaking things up and swapping two string players with two percussionists for a new, whirlwind take on Jukebox. Violinist Brooke Quiggins and cellist John Dunlop are joined by percussionists D. Thomas Toner and Nicola Cannizzaro for a singular musical experience, curated by VSO Artistic Advisor and Project Conductor Matt LaRocca.
Our Jukebox musicians dive into works by traditional and cutting-edge composers and are joined in this concert by a youth string quartet from St. Johnsbury Academy: Hale Boyden, Aurora Gilbert, Aniella Thompson, Maaike Dam (violin) and Greer Kennedy, Mary Fowler (viola).

The Scholars' Bowl team competed Saturday in the opening round of the state-level competition. It was a sixteen-team field with a Swiss pairings format. The team competed in four matches, won two of them, and advanced to the second day of competition in March. Congratulations to freshman Sisu Lange and sophomore Siri Jolliffe for representing the St. Johnsbury Nordic team at the Vermont Qualifier for the Eastern Nordic Championships. Sisu will represent Vermont as one of only 20 U16 athletes to make the state team, finishing 12th in the state overall with a combined 3k classic and 3k skate time of 19:03. He will ski on March 12 and 13 in Jackson, New Hampshire. Siri represented the Hilltoppers well and ended the day with a strong performance in the freestyle race. |
