ANNOUNCEMENTS
SJA Announces Valedictorians and Salutatorian

St. Johnsbury Academy is pleased to announce the valedictorian and salutatorian for the Class of 2022. Madison Flanagan (left) of Bryan, TX, has been named valedictorian. This year’s salutatorian is Cecilia Sweeney of Piermont, NH.

Moving Minds and Muscles is back for another four weeks of adventure and learning this summer. Students will play, learn, and exercise as they explore local and regional communities by engaging in authentic place-based learning activities. If you’re looking for an active camp that keeps your child moving, this is it! Your child will be challenged to expand their mind, confidence, and physical abilities while participating in field trips to local organizations, state parks, and outdoor recreational activity centers.

Moving Minds and Muscles is open to students entering grades 6-8 in the fall. Camp operates Monday through Thursday (apart from the week of the 4th of July, when we will meet Tuesday through Friday), with drop-off starting at 8:00 am and pick-up by 4:00 pm. This program is tuition-free this year due to a NEK PCE Grant and other funding.

Week 1: July 5–July 8: Park It
Week 2: July 11–July 14: Learning to Lead
Week 3: July 18–July 21: Building Community
Week 4: July 25–July 28: Destination Creation

On May 6 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM, St. Johnsbury Academy is opening its doors to the community for a celebration of Hispanic culture. Latino students, Spanish Language students, and local performers such as Bobby Farlice-Rubio will sing and dance, Phil and Patsy will do a tango performance and share their excitement for and love of the varied and rich Latino cultures. Sample delicious Hispanic treats prepared by the Academy's culinary students. Kids, parents, and grandparents will all find something to love at this fiesta. Location: Streeter Hall Amphitheater
