St. Johnsbury Academy will provide space in Colby Hall for local emergency response personnel for training exercises between 1:00 -2:00 PM on Friday. There are no classes on Friday, and students will not be in the building.

Athletics Calendar

We are now using Arbiter as our Athletics Calendar as part of an initiative by the VPA. For this reason, athletic events no longer appear on the school calendar on the website. They can be accessed through the Athletics Calendar on the website or you can bookmark this link for the most up-to-date Hilltopper game and practice times and final scores.

Around Campus

Seniors Brooke White (l) and Greer Kennedy were recognized in Chapel last week for their achievements in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program. Brooke and Greer are two of the 34,000 students across the country who received a Letter of Commendation. They originally entered the contest by taking the 2022 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®). Approximately 1.3 million students take the test each year.

Mrs. Angell has formed a student sustainability leadership team with ten members, taking part in a program called Cultivating Pathways to Sustainability, which is led in collaboration with Up for Learning and Shelburne Farms. The team joined a video conference with students around the state to begin exploring the Sustainable Development Goals and plan and implement a project to advance global goals. This year is dedicated to building leadership, and next year this group of students will lead and facilitate projects with a full team of students.

The Desjardins advisory took first place in musical chairs on Friday, winning the first challenge in the sophomore's Class Cup Competition. See photos from the event here.

The Class of 2024 had a great trip to Six Flags on Sunday.

Mr. Rowe and the Hilltones performed two songs in Chapel on Monday in preparation for the fall concert on October 17 at 7:00 PM in South Church. Videos of the performance can be watched here and here.
