Seniors Named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists


St. Johnsbury Academy seniors Hannah Keith of Kirby, VT, and Theodora Montague and Nathan Lenzini of St. Johnsbury have been recognized as semifinalists in the 68th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. SJA is one of only 15 high schools in the state to have students recognized as semifinalists and finished in a tie for second overall with CVU with three semifinalists.

AROUND CAMPUS

Twenty-eight students, three teachers, zucchini for 50 families, corn for 30 families, and 300 cookies were the ingredients in last week's community service project. All of the food will be shared with local food shelves.

Dungeon Masters led their classmates on adventures in the weekly meeting of the Dungeons and Dragons Club. More photos can be viewed here

Field Semester students have been busy on the Field Campus with planting projects and with trips to area locations like Willoughby Lake.

Things are heating up at The Hilltopper. The students have been learning sanitation practices, kitchen equipment training, working on knife skills and plate presentations as they prepare for a busy fall season.

Building Trade students have been working this week to install shelving in the basement of the Tower House. 

Members of the Asian Culture Club made mooncakes at their weekly meeting last week. Photos from the event can be viewed here

Mr. Despins' Sports Medicine students perfected their technique for wrapping ankles.

On Friday, we held our first Pep Chapel in Alumni Gym in nearly three years. It was awesome! Photos from the event can be viewed here
