Senior Named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist
St. Johnsbury Academy Maely Brightman, of Lyme, NH, has been recognized as a semifinalist in the 67th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. SJA is one of only 17 high schools in the state to have students recognized as semifinalists.
We started our day this morning with a wonderful musical performance in Chapel.
Another stretch of good weather has meant teachers are able to take their classes outside to study nature on campus.
Robotics students are deep into their fall projects.
Mr. Jones and the Farm and Garden Club are busy beautifying the campus this fall. The club is one of nearly 40 clubs and activities offered to students during the week.
Over the weekend at the Slate Valley Trails in Poultney, Freshman Sisu Lang and Juniors David Zajko, Gabe Pierce, and James Wai Bong Wong became the first Academy students ever to represent our school and community as mountain bike racers. James (shown here) also earned the distinction of being the first-ever international participant in a Vermont Youth Cycling race.
