3rd Grade Retreat
On Wednesday, January 9th, our 3rd Grade classes started off the new year with their Spiritual Retreat based on Renewal. The theme was God created us to grow and change everyday and by living in his Light we are able to let go of actions, thoughts and words that no longer serve us.
3rd Graders listed words that described what God means to them. Together they decided on words such as light, love, forgiving, peace and joy.
Mrs. Mejia and Mrs. Garcia chose scripture readings: The Potter and the Clay and Living in the Light.
The students sang Make Me A Channel of Your Peace.
Local Artist, Sarah Glass did a pottery presentation for students and parents. God is our creator and as we grow in relationship with him, he smooths out our imperfections.
