Hello Robin,

According to the National Council on Aging, today’s 65-year-old can expect to live another 20 years, as reported by the Social Security Administration. However, 80% of households with older adults—47 million households—are financially struggling or at risk of economic insecurity as they age. Optimizing Social Security, accessing other benefits, improving long-term healthcare, and leveraging home equity are four ways retirees can improve financial security.

Another valuable option for improving financial stability and increasing fulfillment is taking on a part-time or temporary job through the Seniors Job Bank. Beyond financial rewards, our job seekers experience increased self-worth, reduced loneliness, and the opportunity to share their knowledge and wisdom with others.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to learn how we can support your needs.

Best regards,

Robin Clare, Executive Director

I became involved with the Seniors Job Bank through Leadership Greater Hartford's Quest Leadership Cohorts and their Leaders on Board program. My passion for connecting individuals with fulfilling careers led me to the SJB.

My favorite aspect of the Seniors Job Bank is its commitment to providing job opportunities for seniors who wish to remain active in the workforce.
