A Message From The President
Mr. Freund
Dear SJCA Families,

The Thanksgiving holiday reminds us to reflect on the many blessings we have received. Find a moment to say a prayer of thanks and enjoy the opportunity to spend time with family and friends.

I am grateful to our SJCA families who have chosen to partner with us in the education of their children. Thank you for the confidence and trust you have placed in our ability to foster the spiritual, academic, and social growth of every student.

I am thankful for our students and the energy and enthusiasm they infuse into our building on a daily basis. They are motivated and understand the importance of establishing an academic foundation that will support continued growth throughout the years.

I am grateful for our dedicated faculty, staff, and administrative team who commit themselves to securing a faith-filled, caring environment that encourages students to excel and realize their full potential.

I am thankful for our coaches and the leadership traits they model for our student/athletes. They play an important role in the lives of our students and support their continued growth outside a classroom setting.

I am grateful for our supporters and volunteers who graciously offer their time, talents, and treasure to assist SJCA in our quest to fulfill our mission. Their contributions enable us to provide a quality Catholic educational experience.

Wishing you and your family a Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving.

Best regards,
Bob Freund
Middle School News
Mr. Rizzo
SJCA Middle School Families,

The holidays are a perfect time to reflect on everything God has given us throughout the year. But we shouldn’t limit our thanksgiving to only one day a year. The Bible tells us : “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18

At St. Joseph Catholic Academy, we aspire to instill “an attitude of gratitude” in our classrooms. We find a variety of ways to discuss gratitude through our Lancer Value system. And, by practicing gratitude, students become more positive and optimistic. They feel more connected – both in the classroom and out. Overall, by practicing this, we hope our students feel better about school and life in general. And, of course, by expressing their thanks, students actively live their faith.

With this in mind, I am pleased to announce that our Middle School will be hosting our 2nd Annual First Responders Breakfast this Friday, 11/22/19. Our Middle School students will be able to express their gratitude to our local First Responders. From 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., our students and First Responders will enjoy a morning of pastries, coffee, games and conversation!

If you know anyone from one of our area Fire, Police/Sheriff or Emergency Medical Service Departments, please extend the invitation, as our students look forward to meeting our local First Responders and thanking them for their service. They can RSVP to Courtney Cerny at ccerny@sjcawi.org .

Thanksgiving Prayer
Father in Heaven, Creator of all and source of all goodness and love, please look kindly upon us and receive our heartfelt gratitude in this time of giving thanks. Thank you for all the graces and blessings. You have bestowed upon us, spiritual and temporal: our faith and religious heritage. Our food and shelter, our health, the love we have for one another, our family and friends. Dear Father, in Your infinite generosity, please grant us continued graces and blessings throughout the coming year. This we ask in the Name of Jesus, Your Son and our Brother. Amen.

God Bless,
Mr. Rizzo

Mrs. Santarelli
Dear Parents and Guardians,

During this season of gratitude, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to all those who make our school community so special.

To our faculty and staff: Thank you for your dedication, commitment, and compassion towards educating the whole child. The work you do every day makes a deep and lasting impact on all of our students. Your love for our students is a true blessing.

To our parents, grandparents, guardians and extended family: Thank you for choosing Catholic education at SJCA for your children. Watching them grow academically, spiritually and socially are some of the things I love most about my job.

To our volunteers: Your support of our school community is always appreciated. We are beyond blessed and grateful to have so many people who care so much about our students and are willing to help whenever and wherever they can.

Finally, thanks to our students: Each one of our students is a unique and valued member of the school community. Please know that I pray to God every day for them and am proud to be your principal.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy this break with your families. Please remember that our students will be released on Tuesday, November 26th at 2:45 pm. When school resumes on December 2nd, we will begin to prepare for the birth of our Lord throughout this Advent season.

Blessings,
Mrs. Santarelli

Lower Campus Mitten Drive
As we enter the Season of Advent, the Lower Campus Student Council leaders are getting ready to lead a collection for those less fortunate in our community by asking for donations for the MITTEN TREE.

Students are looking for brand new items to decorate the tree; hats, mittens, scarves, caps, earmuffs, gloves and socks. The tree will be up by Wednesday November 20th in the Main Office and we will be ready for gifts that day. We will be collecting items until Friday, December 6th. Shown here is last year's Mitten Tree.

All items will be boxed up and taken to St. Mark's altar for a blessing the weekend of December 7/8th and will be distributed through the Circle of Friends, sponsored by St. Mark, St. Mary, and St. Elizabeth parishes on Sunday December 15th.

Thank you for sharing so generously during this Season of Giving!

Toy Drive
On December 7th, the annual SJCA Community Outreach program will be held at the Upper Campus. Last year, SJCA hosted over 600 people at this event and gifts were given to over 400 children. We ask that our families consider blessing a local child with a gift. For many of our guests, this may be the only gift they receive this Christmas. THANK YOU TO ALL OF THOSE WHO ALREADY DONATED! We are off to a great start!

New gifts can be brought to the Upper Campus Main Office beginning on Monday, November 18th. Items should not be wrapped because we need to sort them accordingly. We will, however, gladly accept wrapping supplies.

We are excited to announce a gift registry at Target. You can purchase the item online and simply send it to SJCA. Please use the link below. Alternatively, you can purchase your own items for this outreach event. Please, no clothing, boots, or stuffed animals

Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity in making this annual event a success for those in need. For questions, please contact Mrs. Hantke by  clicking here .
