A Message From The President
Mr. Freund
Dear Families:

This week and next, Michelle Sandberg from the KRW (Kenosha, Racine, Walworth) Tobacco Free Coalition will be speaking with our upper campus students about the dangers of nicotine, e-cigarettes, and other vaping products. She will be addressing the high school students student on Friday (11/1) and the middle school students on Monday (11/4). In addition. She will also offer a presentation specific to our parents on Monday, November 4 at 7:15 p.m. in the Buri-Nelson Theater. Click here for details on vaping.

On Tuesday, November 5, our seniors will be participating in their two-day Senior Retreat. Please keep them in your prayers as they embark on this important, spiritual milestone in their SJCA religious journey. We know that this retreat will bring them closer to God and each other. May God bless them at this special time.

Keep selling those auction raffle tickets and please don't forget to buy your 2019 Auction dinner tickets. Remember, if we hit our auction goal of $200,000, we will all get an extra day off over spring break! I look forward to seeing you all at the Auction.
As always, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your family's academic and spiritual growth. We are honored to partner with you in your students' educational journey.

Best regards,
Bob Freund
Middle School News
Mr. Rizzo
SJCA Middle School Families,

It was great seeing so many of you at Parent/Teacher Conferences last week. I enjoyed meeting with many of you, talking about your student and hearing about how your student is enjoying his/her time here at SJCA! Our students and staff have done a great job seamlessly transitioning to the start of 2nd Quarter.  Our kids are continuing to be diligent in their studies, and our staff continues to deliver excellent and innovative instruction.  A special ‘thanks ’ to you, the parents/guardians, for being so involved and taking the needed time in your student’s education and experiences at SJCA. Together, let’s keep up the great work for our students!
Halloween Social Recap!
What a fantastic turnout from our Middle School students at our Halloween Social last week! We had over 95 Middle School students attend the Halloween Social. Each of our students showed very respectful, responsible and safe behavior while attending this fun event. Our Middle School Halloween Social was a big hit, and smiles, laughter and fun was had by all. We saw some very creative costumes, too! Kudos all around to our Middle School students and their families.
KRW Tobacco-Free Coalition Presentation
Specifically focusing on youth use, Michelle Sandberg, the Coordinator of the Kenosha, Racine and Walworth Counties Tobacco-Free Coalition, will be providing an educational presentation about the hazards of tobacco, including an emphasis on vaping to our Middle School students on Monday, November 4th during Study Hall. With all the critical health issues currently in the news linked to vaping, this is a timely and extremely important educational opportunity for our students. We are proud to partner with KRW Tobacco-Free Coalition and provide this presentation to our students and school community.
2019 All That Glitters… Is Blue & Gold Auction
We are looking forward to a special night for our School next weekend, November 9th! Thank you to the Pauline McTernan, the Development Office and the Auction Committee for working very hard to make the Auction a great night for SJCA. We’ll see you there!
Prayer for Community
God our Maker,
We praise you for the gift of community.
Thank you for the communities in which we work and live.
Thank you for the community that is your Body, the Church.
Fill us with Your Spirit today so that, as one, we reflect your light and love to each other and to the world.
In Christ we pray, Amen.

God Bless,
Mr. Rizzo
