For Flowers That Bloom

For flowers that bloom about our feet;

For tender grass, so fresh, so sweet;

For song of bird, and hum of bee;

For all things fair we hear or see,

Father in heaven, we thank Thee!

For blue of stream and blue of sky;

For pleasant shade of branches high;

For fragrant air and cooling breeze;

For beauty of the blooming trees,

Father in heaven, we thank Thee!

- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Intentions

For the people of Turkey and Syria and Ukraine

For our Principal, Mrs. Essary

For the intentions of our St. Joseph School Community

From the Principal

Dear Parents & Guardians,

Welcome to spring and the fourth quarter!

We have been implementing our kindness counts recognition. Teachers and staff recognize students who have been observed being kind or helpful. Recognized students will have their names called over the intercom and awarded a prize at the end the week. Kindness Counts!

We are looking forward to the Lenten Retreat for our students which will take place on Friday, March 31. The retreat will include a service project for the Lantern House. Spring break will begin Apri 1, and will be a much needed break for our hardworking students and faculty. When we return to school on Tuesday, April 11, we will be very busy with many activities and events as we finish up the 2022/2023 school year. Please watch for information in the newsletters and emails sent home to keep you informed.

Spree is our biggest fundraising event of the year. Please look for invitation in the mail. You won't want to miss this fun-filled community event!

God Bless

Why Arriving to School on Time is So Important

We are issuing a significant amount of tardies each morning. Students should be at their desk at 7:50 a.m. each day and will be marked tardy if not present when the 7:50 a.m. bell rings. When a student receives an excessive amount of tardies a letter will be sent home and will be added to their student records.

When students arrive on time they benefit from the time to collect their thoughts, greet their friends and organize their materials before they start their busy day.

Being on time ensures that the student does not miss important learning activities that happen at the very beginning of the day. Late students are a disruption to the class.
