Dear Saint Joseph Elementary School Parents,

Happy Catholic Schools Week!

Catholic Schools Week is our time to celebrate our mission: "To educate children in the Catholic faith and nurture their minds, bodies, and souls, inspiring them to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ, achieve their highest academic and creative potential, and actively serve and enrich the community."

We have so many exciting things planned for the week. Please see below for the schedule:

Monday- Service Day: We will make thank you cards for our community members such as Alameda Fire Fighters, the Coast Guard and the Alameda Animal Shelter, to name a few.
( Those students who came to Open House in uniform will receive free dress.)

Tuesday- Student Appreciation Day Free dress day! Students will have extra recess and teachers will have a special surprise for their class.

Wednesday- Visitor's Day People interested in touring the school while class is in session can come visit between 8:30 am and 11:00 am.

Thursday- Staff Appreciation Day A day to honor our school staff

Friday- Grandparent's Day Grandparents or special friends are invited to come celebrate Mass with us at 8:00am. After Mass join us for Town Hall and a special performance.

We have received several complaints from neighbors regarding cars not following traffic laws during pick up. Please remember that you cannot remain idle at a STOP sign waiting to turn right/left or go straight on the corner of Lafayette and San Jose. You must go through the STOP sign and circle around. Also, please be respectful of neighbors driveways and street wweeping days. Do not block driveways when dropping off or picking up, even if for just a couple of minutes. Do not park on streets during street sweeping hours. The street sweepers will not be able to clean up the streets in front of our neighbors homes. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION!
