Global Eats is Returning!
One of the big hits of last summer’s St. John’s food scene was the ANC’s social enterprise food training program. The Global Eats food truck trains newcomers to work in the local food industry. The students get valuable experience through preparing and serving on the food truck; diners get to sample a unique menu, inspired by the students’ countries of origin.
Global Eats
has been a little delayed this year, as classroom
training was slowed down to allow for COVID-19 public health regulations. Foodies can go to:
Facebook
and Instagram

We are thrilled to announce that RCA Theatre Company and White Rooster will be partnering to present
The Tales of Dwipa
by Prajwala Dixit.
Dwipa, a spectacular place filled with vast lakes, meandering rivers and thick forests, is a realm located in the middle of a vast ocean where all living beings communicate with one another through the language of the island called Bhashé. The story follows the adventures of Mima, Lok (a Labrador dog) and Nina (a Newfoundland dog) as they discover Dwipa.
The Tales of Dwipa is directed by Santiago Guzmán, PM/Publicity by Eunjong Cho, designed by Azal Dosanjh, Brian Kenny, Jamie Skidmore and Sara Tilley and features Ananya Antony, Robyn Vivian and Santiago Guzmán
.
The Tales of Dwipa will be available online via the RCA YouTube Link and social media platforms on July 11th, 18th, 25th and August 1st.
Available to families for free, these short plays use songs, puppetry and colourful costumes to tell the story of an extraordinary island where the birds, animals and sea creatures all speak to each other.
