SJM Students, Faculty, and Parents Travel to “Bella Italia”
Article written by: Michael Giovannetti
In June 2019, thirty students, faculty, and family members spent 10 days visiting the country of Michelangelo, Leonardo, Dante, Vivaldi, Marco Polo, Andrea Bocelli, St. Francis of Assisi, Mother Frances Xavier Cabrini, and our beloved Pope Francis. The experience was unique and very special because the Italian classes of Michael Giovannetti and Emanuela De Rosa were joined by another very important SJM discipline. The group’s journey (from Venice to Rome) also included students from Ms. Joanie Hathaway’s 2/3 Dimensional Art Classes. Italian and Art? Truly the ideal interdisciplinary experience!

Strategic Plan Update: Admissions
Article written by: Rainey Lewis
Several goals for SJM’s Strategic Plan for the Admissions Department have been met over the past few years. Communication and relationship building opportunities with our partner schools have continued to grow. Last year, we had a successful Middle School Visit Day with seven partner schools in attendance. This year we are happy to report that 10 partner schools and an additional Christian school will be sending their 8th graders to our newly introduced 8th Grade Preview Days. Each of those schools was visited by Admissions representatives last year where they heard a presentation about SJM. Appointments are being scheduled for this year as well.
