Welcome to the Saint John Neumann Confirmation Preparation Program!
Thank you for accompanying one of our teens at St. John Neumann Church through their Confirmation Preparation Program as they prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation. We hope that you and your families are doing well during this very challenging time. We are here to support you through this journey of being a Sponsor, so please let us know if you have any questions. Here are the latest updates and information regarding being a Sponsor. You can also find information about the process the teens are moving through on the website by clicking on the button above.

An Important Note about our Current Public Health Concerns:
Our goal is to make sure that the Confirmation prep program is safe for teens and their families. At this time, we are unsure of exactly how the current pandemic will impact Confirmation and the prep program. As changes become necessary and details figured out, we will update you. Thank you for your patience and kindness during this difficult time.
Upcoming Events and Information
Sponsor Modules - The teens are completing online modules as part of their Confirmation Prep experience. We ask that sponsors also complete the sponsor-version of these modules to assist in better accompaniment of their teen. We recommend that you communicate with the teen you are sponsoring about the modules so that you can complete the same modules around the same time to better facilitate conversations between you. Teens are expected to complete the first five modules by July 1st. Please use the link below for instructions on how to get started!

Sponsor Certificate of Eligibility - The deadline for handing in Sponsor Certificates has been extended to August 1st. Please begin this process as soon as possible as it can take time to obtain. Please contact your parish as soon as possible to begin the process. If you are a registered member of St. John Neumann, we do NOT need a certificate.

Looking Ahead
Modules 6-10 are expected to be completed by teens by August 15.
Rehearsal for the Sacrament of Confirmation is on the evening of November 5th. Please talk to the teen you are sponsoring regarding which time they are assigned. Sponsors are expected to attend if possible. If not possible, a parent of the teen may fill-in.
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated on November 7th. Please talk to the teen you are sponsoring regarding which time they are assigned.
