Dear Parents and Students,
Happy New Year and welcome back to the second semester of the school year. I am sure that the seniors of the Class of 2019 are now counting down the days to graduation on Saturday, June 1, 2019. Much work, however, needs to be done in the meantime for all of our students to successfully complete the second semester.
I hope that all of you received both Father George’s and my letter yesterday announcing my departure from SJND effective June 30, 2019. As I shared in the letter, I am so thankful for having served in this position the past three years. I have truly enjoyed getting to know all of you in both the parent and student communities. I love the SJND family.
In this time of transition, I want to
allay any fears
or concerns that you may have and know that I will be working hard every day as Principal until June 30. Also, Father George and the SJND Board of Trustees in collaboration with the Superintendent of Schools will begin an immediate search for a new Principal. This Principal will be blessed to work with the fine men and women of the SJND faculty and staff who do the extraordinary work of teaching our students.
On another note, I would like to invite all parents and students to attend the
Catholic Schools Week Mass on Sunday, January 27 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Basilica
. Please mark your calendars now. I also remind you that the
annual Crab Feed
- a really fun night - is also coming soon on Saturday, February 2 from 5:00-10:00 p.m.
As always, thank you for all that you do. Go Pilots!
