Preschool's Christian of the Month is Peyton Hinkle. Peyton is a wonderful and caring student. He is always looking to help others including his younger brother Mitchell. He is always showing good character and is constantly respectful. With him being only 4 years old, he is very responsible and very trustworthy. Peyton is a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Jim Thorpe and is the eldest in his family. During his spare time, he enjoys playing with his younger brothers, reading books, coloring and playing soccer. Peyton is very deserving of this award, and we all congratulate him for being such a wonderful student.
Jordan Miller is the Christian of the Month in K-Gold. Jordan is a very quiet and kind student. She is very helpful and is a good friend to everyone. Jordan is very good at coloring and drawing. At home, Jordan belongs to the Dance Factory. She just joined the West Penn Archery Club with her brother Logan. Jordan also loves to sing; she loves Music class.
Reese Jacobs is Kindergarten Blue's November Christian of the Month. Reese is a thoughtful girl who always cares about others. Reese is the first to notice if anyone needs help, the first to comfort her classmates, and the first to invite others to play. She is kind and polite to both children and adults. Reese has excellent manners and always has a smile on her face. Reese tries very hard to do the best she can in school. She completes her schoolwork with great care and neatness. Outside of school Reese participates in dance at Dance with Kim and plays soccer for Tamaqua Area Youth Soccer. Her family says that Reese is full of love. She loves her family, her school, and her teachers. Way to go Reese!
The Christian of the Month for First Grade Blue is Scarlett Petrole. Scarlett is always prepared and ready to learn. She is a friend to all of her classmates and is always willing to help others. Scarlett studies dance at Tracey’s Academy of Dance and gymnastics at Shooting Starz Gymnastics School. Congratulations, Scarlett! Keep up the great work!
Christian of the Month for 1st Grade Gold is Kiera Kelly. Kiera is a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Mahanoy City. She is a very caring student. In the past she has donated hair for “Wigs for Kids”. She is kind to all classmates and respectful towards all adults in school. Outside of school, Kiera participates in Tamaqua Basketball
skills and drills & Mahanoy Area Bears Cheerleading. She enjoys playing outside, swimming and playing with her siblings. Most of all Kiera loves spending time with her family and making crafts. Congratulations Kiera!
The Christian for the Month in Grade 2 Blue is George Pinkey. George is a very responsible student and classmate. He always does his best. He happily helps others in need. George takes his responsibilities seriously, from schoolwork to jobs in the classroom. He is an excellent role model for all. Outside of school, George is a "Wolf" in Tamaqua Boy Scouts Troop #777. He is on a lot of teams, from swimming, soccer, and baseball to Saint Jerome Cross Country. George loves playing outside, and playing with his brother Henry, who is in kindergarten. George also makes sure Henry gets to his class each morning, and on the bus at the end of the day. What a great Big Brother! Congratulations, George, for all you do!
The Second-Grade Gold Christian of the Month for November is Layla Van Wickle. Layla is a good student who works hard and always does her best. Layla enthusiastically adds to class discussions and happily volunteers answers during lessons. She is kind and respectful to everyone with whom she interacts. Layla is always willing to help anyone who may need it. Outside of school, Layla is in her first year of Girl Scouts. She is a Brownie with Nesquehoning troop #34100. Layla is also a student of the Dance Factory where she studies ballet and lyrical tap. She is part of the specialty team “Happy Feet”. Layla also enjoys arts and crafts and video games in her spare time. Layla is very empathetic and caring. She is a great and loyal friend.
The Christian of the Month for 3rd grade for the month of November is Nico Rojas. Nico loves playing baseball, playing both infield and outfield, and even pitching at times. He was a Valley East All-Star and their team won the Minor League Champion and All-Stars Champion two times! He also loves to swim and play outdoors. In the classroom, Nico is always respectful and kind, and puts great effort into his schoolwork. He is a great friend to have and is always positive and smiling! Congratulations to Nico!
Fourth Grade Gold's Christian of the Month for October is Jager Yelito. Jager is kind, considerate, and helpful. He can always be found helping out his classmates. His desk is always organized, and he is diligent in keeping it that way. Jager is a student who doesn't shy away from hard work. He gives each assignment his best effort and always asks questions if he doesn't understand. Outside of school, Jager enjoys spending his free time outside, riding his quad or dirtbike. He loves being a big brother to Axel. Congratulations, Jager! We are so proud of you!
Wyatt Morris is the Christian of the Month for Grade 4 Blue. In school, Wyatt is a responsible student who is dedicated to doing his best with every assignment. He is helpful in the classroom, often volunteering to assist his classmates or the teacher. Outside of school, Wyatt plays third base and center field for Jim Thorpe Little League. He has been playing the piano for four years. Wyatt is a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, where he is training to become an altar server. At home, Wyatt enthusiastically helps his little brother, Cody, with his math homework and also frequently saves his mom with her computer questions. His very special interests are in math and baseball. This summer, Wyatt will become a member of MENSA Gifted Youth. This January, he will be training with Russ Canzler Baseball to get ready for the spring baseball season. Congratulations, Wyatt!
Rebecca Wippel has been chosen as the Christian of the Month for Grade 5. Becca is a hardworking, conscientious student. She is respectful and responsible. Her work is done timely, and she always puts forth her best effort. Outside of school, Rebecca loves soccer and plays for TAYSA. Last spring, she had her theater debut as a Munchkin and Flying Monkey in Marian High School's spring musical. She likes hiking, biking, baking, painting and playing with her dog Kona. Avion Graham Cruz is the 6th Grade Christian of the Month. Avion is a good student. He works hard and puts forth effort in his classwork. Avion plays Panther Valley soccer in midfield or striker position. He also participated in CYO basketball. Avion is a third-year artisan flute player in the school band. Avion participated in "THe Walk to End Epilepsy" with his family this past October. He enjoys playing video games and having a good time with his friends. Congratulations, Avion!
Nora Nothstein is the 7th Grade Christian of the Month. Nora always has her work done
neatly, completely and in a timely manner. She helps to keep the classroom clean by
voluntarily sweeping the floor. Nora is in her 7 th year of dance at Dance with Kim. When she is not busy with schoolwork or at dance, Nora loves to help at home with the pets. In the summer, she performs in plays at the Tamaqua Community Arts Center. Congratulations, Nora!
I am delighted to introduce AJ Reaman as the Christian of the Month for November in 8th grade. AJ consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. He treats his peers and adults with kindness and respect, displaying excellent manners. AJ embodies qualities such as trustworthiness, humility, and helpfulness, making him an exceptional role model in our classroom. Outside of school, he enjoys playing catcher for the Coaldale Tigers, mountain bike riding, playing drums in the school band, and volunteering as an Altar Server at St Joseph's of the Panther Valley.
