Dear Parents-
The textbook return was held two days last week. If you were unable to return your books, please contact Lisa Pearce and make arrangements to return the materials you still have. You can reach her at
[email protected]. Please return items at your earliest convenience so that we can get them inventoried and order correctly for next school year. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Northern Virginia remains in Phase Two of the Virginia Forward reopening plan, and while the particular details of Phase Three have been articulated, no date for moving into Phase Three has been announced. At this writing, Virginia is trending “flat” in terms of the number of new cases, with a 5% positivity rate.
In light of current health data, Loudoun County Public Schools announced that for the start of the 2020-2021 school year, students will be on two school days in person, and three days distance learning schedule. Fairfax expects to announce their plan on June 26.
I continue to work with the Office of Catholic Schools, and meet regularly with Father Tom and Danny Rucker to discuss options and create a plan for SJS. I should be able to announce in the next week or so what our start to the school year will look like.
Happily, last week I was able to share with 2nd grade parents that First Holy Communion is now scheduled for
Saturday, August 29, at 10:00AM. We will keep a watch on the phases relative to Virginia Forward and make adjustments as needed.
If I can be of service, please let me know.
I pray for the health and safety of our community.
Welcome one another....as Christ welcomed you!
