Thank you to all who were able to attend the Town Hall last week. Use
to access follow up questions that I received prior to Friday, July 24, and answers. I will continue to provide Q and A in upcoming editions of the Bark.
The default presumption is that students will attend school in-person. If you want to select distance learning for your child, please make sure you have completed the Google form that Mrs. Pearce emailed to all families. Also on that form is a question concerning hybrid learning model. Please submit the form no later than Friday, July 31.
I am happy to make the following personnel announcements.
Please join me in welcoming
Ms. Maricar Hornilla
to our faculty as our new 1 Red teacher. Ms. Honilla has over 18 years experience teaching early childhood education, most recently at St. Philip Center in Falls Church. Ms. Hornilla earned a bachelor’s degree in family studies from San Francisco State University (CA), and she holds a VCEA teaching license.
Mrs. Kathy Schwingle
has worked in various roles at SJS and now takes on the position of instructional assistant. Mrs. Schwingle has five years experience working as an assistant teacher at Floris United Preschool. She earned her bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation from the University of Southern Maine (ME). Her older daughter is a member of the SJS Class of 2020 and her younger daughter also attends SJS!
Please join me in welcoming our new staff members, and keep them in your prayers as they take on new responsibilities.
I pray for the health and safety of our community.
As always, if you have any questions, or if I can be of any assistance, please let me know.
Welcome one another....as Christ welcomed you!
