MEMORY CAFE
Memory Cafe is a monthly meeting that offers fellowship, fun and information for persons with memory-loss and their caregivers. On March 14 we will be meeting at Mayberry Senior Services, 5528 Eubank Blvd.NE, Suite 1 from 2:30 - 4:00 pm. We are currently looking for several people to help in planning and executing monthly meetings. We need two volunteers to coordinate and serve refreshments as well as two or three for planning and hosting meetings. Donated refreshments are also greatly appreciated. If interested, please call Angie Young at 715-2030 or Sharon Jensen at 323-7522 or sign up at the hospitality center for more information.

MOBILE FOOD PANTRY
Occasionally, we like to have "a little something extra" to give to our Mobile Food Pantry guests, so, during the month of March, we want to collect 4-roll or 6-roll packages of toilet tissue to give out to each household that visits our Mobile Food Pantry in April. In order for each household to receive a package, we'll need 50 packages! Our clients are truly grateful for everything they receive, so thank you, in advance! March’s Mobile Food Pantry will be on Saturday, March 28. DONALD R ZERWEKH - dzerwekh@msn.com

MEN’S SPRING BIBLE STUDY: JOB
There is probably no more urgent question that we face than 'how does one handle undeserved suffering?' The most profound Biblical treatment of that question is the Old Testament book of Job. Join us for the study of Job as well as the stories of Ruth and Esther during our Men's Spring Bible Study running Mondays at both 10:00 am and 7:00 pm from Monday, April 6 to Monday, May 11. Sign up in the Hospitality Center or directly with teacher Jack Nuzum at jcnuzum@juno.com or 505-265-5241.

1 CHRONICLES: THE EARLY HISTORY OF ISRAEL AND ITS TEMPLE
1 and 2 Chronicles are the history of Israel, as written by someone much more interested in music and singers than in wars and kings. In 1 and 2 Kings, we read about kings who occasionally go to the Temple. In 1 and 2 Chronicles, we read about the Temple and the singers, composers, and instruments heard there, and occasionally a king comes. Join us for a different look at the history of Israel as we study one of the lesser-read books of the Bible. Pick up a study guide in the Welcome Center, or call or write Regina Hunter at 294-2877, drhunter@nmia.com, to join St. John’s largest on-going study. Study tips and scripture readings are emailed on weekdays, but we each read at a time of our own choosing.

EMMAUS WALKS

Mission & Outreach
MARCH SPECIAL OFFERING: THE MILAGRO PROGRAM
The Milagro Program provides comprehensive care for pregnant women and enrolls any pregnant woman with a history of or current substance abuse issues. The team of providers can follow the women and their newborns during inpatient hospital stays, forming a treatment plan based on their specific needs.
In addition to medical services, the Milagro Program provides outpatient counseling and case management support. Through frequent follow up and a team approach to wellness, the medical, nursing, and counseling staff work together to help expecting mothers and their families transition during the prenatal and postpartum period. The Milagro Program works closely with the FOCUS program to ensure that families continue receiving comprehensive treatment services after delivery.

THE STOREHOUSE
To help serve the hungry and vulnerable in our community, we're collecting the following food items during the month of March: protein-rich foods, such as canned tuna, beef, chicken, and ham; peanut butter; protein bars or granola bars; and powdered milk. Please place your donations in the collection bins located in the hospitality centers. Thank you for sharing from your abundance!
