Acts 2:41-47
41 So those who welcomed his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand persons were added.  42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
Life among the Believers
43 Awe came upon everyone, because many wonders and signs were being done by the apostles.  44 All who believed were together and had all things in common;  45 they would sell their possessions and goods and distribute the proceeds [ a ] to all, as any had need.  46 Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home [ b ]and ate their food with glad and generous [ c ] hearts,  47 praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.

HONORING AND REMEMBERING
The St. John’s Endowment Foundation helps fund special projects outside the normal operating budget by distributing earnings from our invested endowments. As you might guess, the more the investments… the more the earnings. One way to help increase these investments is to designate a gift to the Foundation in honor or memory of someone special. The person honored or the family remembered will receive a letter acknowledging your gift. This gift will then become a part of the endowments serving the needs of the church for years to come. For more information contact Janice McCrary, Executive Director at 883-9717.

FIRE ALARM INSTALLATION
Over the course of the approximately 11 weeks required to complete the installation the plan is to never leave the church unprotected. All areas of the church will be affected, and activities during the workday will have to accommodate the Heights Security System workers. Heights is making every effort to minimize impact on church activities. During the first 8-10 days of the installation spools of cable will be coned off in the halls.

TABLETS NEEDED
Children & Families needs two tablets that can connect to the internet, used or new. If you have one to donate please contact Therese Macali at newsound@stjohns-abq.org.

BOOK SWAP
Looking for something to read? Have something you're done reading that you'd like to share? Check out our brand new "Book Swap" in the southwest hallway - take one (or many!) books...leave a book...let's join together this summer in reading! Kids' books are welcome too!
As you organize and price your donations for the upcoming rummage sale, here are some guidelines: We have set a minimum price of 50 cents, so, if possible, please group a couple of similar items together to reach the 50-cent minimum. We cannot accept mattresses, TV's, or computers. You need not individually price books, as we will have a set price for hardcover and paperback books. As much as possible, please insure that your donations are clean and ready to display. "Suggested pricing sheets" are available in the Hospitality Centers. Lastly, we have a favor to ask: please talk to your friends and neighbors about our rummage sale; we not only need donations, but we'll also need bargain-hunters and shoppers on sale days! Thank you for your support!

SILVER HORIZONS SPECIAL SUMMER COLLECTION
This summer we will be collecting inexpensive sunglasses, sun screen, hats (all kinds), shelf stable regular and sugar free frozen pops (like Otter pops) and toiletries. Collecting through July!

JUNE SPECIAL OFFERING: Hopeworks and Mobile Food Pantry
June is the month to focus on feeding the poor. Chef Tim with a crew of volunteers take a meal for 200 to Hopeworks (formerly Project Share) ten times a year. Wonderful meals complete with some of Tim's great desserts! We need to raise $300 per meal. Secondly, every third Saturday Road Runner Food Bank delivers food for fifty families, which many volunteers set up and distribute. Many of the same families come each month and have become friends. Some stay around and help too. Last Christmas the children joined with St. John's kids in making gingerbread houses. Roadrunner asks us for $175 each month. So in June think food and please give generously!

MOBILE FOOD PANTRY
Thanks to your continued generosity, we've been able to provide a "little something extra" to our Mobile Food Pantry guests these past two months. We'd like to continue this effort, throughout the month of June, by collecting rolls of paper towels to give to our guests. Wouldn't it be great if we could offer each household two rolls of paper towels? Please place your donations in the wire baskets located in the Hospitality Centers.

SILVER HORIZONS
As it strives to meet the needs of low-income seniors in our community, as well as the grandchildren who may be living with them, Silver Horizons is currently in need of granola bars or protein bars, canned meats (all types), dry pasta and pasta sauces, and powdered milk. If you can provide any of these items, please place your donations in the wire baskets located in the Hospitality Centers. Thank you!
