Hello and Happy April!
Or should I say Happy Spring as it definitely feels like spring. I hope you all had a great long weekend!
March was a big month for webinars here at PCAP! Our 'Prairie's Got the Goods' week from March 18-22 was a success! We had 5 webinars which had at least 720 views combined!
The March Native Prairie Speaker Series webinar was about pronghorns with Paul Jones from ACA. All recorded presentations can be found on SK PCAP's YouTube Channel!
April had two webinars, there's one on trumpeter swans this week on the 4th by Nick Carter and one on multi-taxa research in the southwest SK by Canadian Wildlife Federation and SODCAP. Also, save the date and register for the May webinar on the management of brome.
As for other projects, we're starting to organize for the 26th Native Prairie Appreciation Week (NPAW, June 16-22)! We're working with the Society for Range Management-Prairie Parkland Chapter to plan this year's tour that will be held in the Avonlea area, June 19-20, 2024. Make sure to keep you eye open to a registration link in the near future!
And finally, we would like to thank our sponsors for their generous support: Canadian Forage and Grasslands Association, K+S Youth+Us, North American Helium, Nutrien, Saskatchewan Cattlemen's Association, SaskEnergy, SaskPower, SaskTel, SaskWater, Wildlife Habitat Canada and Environment and Climate Change Canada, as well as the continuous support of all the PCAP Partners.
