14^th- 30^th - Final exams for Winter & multi-term classes (check SOLUS for your exam time)

30^th - Last day to apply to graduate on SOLUS (Tentative)

May

10^th- Summer term classes begin

10^th- Winter term grades due

14^th- Last day to add/drop Summer term classes (without financial penalty & 6 week courses)

17^th- Upper Year plan change period (until July 30)

24^th- Victoria Day (no classes)

June

4^th- Last day to drop summer term classes without academic penalty

July

5^th- 9^th- FAS Hiatus #1 (SKHS limited staff)

23^rd- Fall/Winter 2021-22 Course Timetable available on SOLUS

Academic Info

Studying for exams

Exams are a turning point in the year, signaling the end of a term’s hard work. Although this time of year is usually busy and often stressful for students, strategies from SASS will help you do your best.

Exam stress is something most people experience. There are many ways to help manage your exam stress before, during and afterwards.

Tips:

Make sure you get a good night's sleep the night before, feeling rested allows your brain to work well which will help you recall information.

Eat breakfast/ meal before the exam- feed your body and brain.

Pick one or two positive, reality checking phrases to repeat to yourself before the exam and even during the exam (e.g.- “I have studied as much as I can, I will be O.K.”)

Pick one or two calming/relaxation techniques to use before or during the exam (e.g., deep breathing, Grounding- look for one thing for every colour of the rainbow in the room).

Reward yourself after the exam- watch a show, get a treat, meet up with friends, etc.

Exam prep?

SASS is here to help! From April 5-13, we’ll help you prep for essay & multiple choice exams and first-year exams in courses like PSYC100 and MATH121.

We also have lots of support to help you manage test anxiety. Learn more about all of our workshops and events on the SASS website

Extenuating Circumstance

Cumulative GPA & Letter Grades

How do you calculate your cumulative GPA? HLTH 101 is worth 3.0 units. If you get an A (see above link) you get 3.7 grade points for these 3.0 units. So, the points column in your “Term History” on SOLUS will be 11.1 (3.0 x 3.7) for HLTH 101. Total points for all courses taken ÷ by total units taken = Cumulative GPA
