Featured Event: Celebrate the 4th of July!
july4th_words_fireworks.jpg
With the 4th of July coming up, there are a ton of great spots to celebrate the holiday and enjoy some fireworks. Here are a few that you may want to check out this year!

In St. Louis...
Enjoy the three day extravaganza of Fair Saint Louis 2022 Saturday, July 2nd through Monday, July 4th in downtown St. Louis. Start off the celebration with America’s Biggest Birthday Parade on the 2nd. Then stop by the Gateway Arch to see living history volunteers dress up in period clothing to celebrate the 4th like it's 1822. The Fair itself will be held in Keener Plaza where you will find family friendly attractions, concerts, concessions and a salute to our troops, but stay for the largest firework show Fair St. Louis has ever produced.

If you can’t make it downtown there are several other events and fireworks shows occurring throughout the region. Jefferson Barracks, Webster Groves, St. Charles, Six Flags, Kirkwood, Florissant, Ellisville, Ferguson, and Chesterfield will all have fireworks displays and other events such as a pet parade, concerts, and food trucks. For more information checkout the link here.

In Illinois...
Many of us have experienced Fair Saint Louis, but have you done it from the other side of the river? At Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park next to Casino Queen in St. Clair County, there is another totally separate party each 4th of July holiday! Enjoy food, musical entertainment, and special eruptions of the Gateway Geyser – the tallest water fountain in the country. Cap it all off with the Fair Saint Louis fireworks display that evening which can be viewed at ground level in the park, or from the two-tiered observation deck!

For a full day of fun in the sun, beach games, live music, and fireworks – visit Carlyle Lake for their 2022 Fireworks Spectacular Dam Jam on July 2nd. There will be a sandcastle building contest, volleyball tournaments, vendors, and other games. Fireworks will then be on display over the largest man-made lake in Illinois at dusk!
