3rd Sunday of Lent - March 23rd, 2025

We are in the season of Lent …Lent dates back to the 2nd century and is an established season in the church by the 4th century. Probably originally it was a time of preparation for baptism-with the baptisms taking place on the eve of Easter. This time of preparation would have included study, prayer, and fasting.

Readings:

Isaiah 55:1–9

1 Corinthians 10:1–13

Luke 13:1–9

Readings

As we continue in the Sundays of Lent, we will ponder how God in Christ brings forth from us good fruit, true acts of service and care for our neighbor and explore the importance of hearing the Word. Remember, Jesus has promised to come to us in his Word and Supper – we need him now more than ever.

PB's Sunday Class

We are coming down the home stretch on our class addressing reasons for disbelief. This Sunday we will be wrestling with the pluralistic views of our culture and people’s struggles with some of Christianity’s exclusive claims. How do we hold up belief in Christ who said he is THE way truth and life? Come and find out!

What have our Quilters been up to?

We celebrate the wonderfully creative work of our talented Quilting Guild, who have dedicated their time and skills to crafting beautiful patriotic quilts.

These heartfelt creations have been generously donated to homeless women veterans who are supported by the Kitsap Area Veterans Alliance and the Kitsap County Veterans Advisory Board. On April 26th, at the Kitsap Veterans Stand Down’s Women’s Circle, these quilts will be presented to homeless women veterans who are transitioning to stable housing. We give thanks for the Guild’s compassion and craftsmanship, blessing those who have served our nation.

Join us for our weekly free lunch tomorrow from noon to 1pm
