Meet the Teacher:
Michelle Mueller
St. Louis Catholic Academy (SLCA) third grade teacher Michelle Mueller is in her third year at the school. She considers SLCA to be a hidden treasure - one that witnesses faith, engagement and involvement.
Students express their faith in their kindness to one another, doing small things to help those around them and by making their prayers an expression of their faith. Michelle emphasizes to her students the importance of being engaged in their actions, believing in themselves and making use of the resources available to them to drive achievement.
She believes strongly in SLCA’s efforts to build trust and partnership with parents through communication. Michelle shares notes about student accomplishments as well as areas where a student might need a little extra practice. She also shares photos and information from the classroom so parents are engaged every step of the way.
Asked what she hopes her students remember from third grade, Michelle says, “that learning is fun and to be open to new ideas.” Michelle, as well as the students, faculty and staff of SLCA, are so grateful to all those who support the school. Without the generosity of the extended school community, the achievements of SLCA students would not be possible.
