CDC UPDATES SAINT LUCIA TRAVEL ADVISORY,
REDUCED TO LEVEL 1
SLHTA congratulates Saint Lucia's CMO and her team, advises continued vigilance and adherence to the established protocols

The CDC adjusted the travel advisory for Saint Lucia, lowering it to a Level 1 warning, indicating that " COVID-19 risk in Saint Lucia is low".
The President of the SLHTA, on behalf of the board of directors, wrote to the Chief Medical Officer, Dr Belmar-George, earlier today, congratulating her and her team on the successful management of the pandemic.
President Karolin Troubetzkoy said: "On behalf of my board of directors, we congratulate you and your team on the successful management of the pandemic so far, especially in light of almost 6000 visitors having by now arrived and vacationed on island. We acknowledge that all of us need to remain respectful of the established protocols to continue this positive development. We will encourage all of our members and their teams to not let down their guard and understand the importance of following procedures to mitigate any risks so that we can continue to welcome visitors to our shores, grow visitor numbers and expand tourism activity in the coming weeks and months. Please rest assured of our continued support as we maneuver our country, our health and our livelihoods through these difficult, choppy waters."
