December 15-16 Special Weather Statement
The National Weather Service is forecasting severe storms and strong winds for later this evening (Wednesday, December 15). School district administration will be watching the weather closely overnight to respond to potentially icy road conditions on Thursday morning, December 16 as needed. Students, families and staff should have plans in place in the event of a school delay or closing.

If St. Louis Park Public Schools schools, programs, and buildings are delayed or closed due to severe weather conditions, we will share information directly with students, families and staff via an automated phone call, and post information to the SLP Schools website homepage, SLP Schools social media channels, and all major news media.
COVID Dashboard
The District's COVID Dashboard will be updated every Wednesday with the exception of Winter Break and Spring Break and can be found on the District's COVID Updates & Information page at www.slpschools.org/families/covid-updates-information.
Vaccination Information: Finding a Second Dose
Individuals that received a first dose at the vaccination clinic at St. Louis Park Middle School on December 6 will need to find a location to receive their second dose the week of December 27 - the target date for a second dose. To find a vaccine location families can: 

  • Walk-in at Community Care Clinics of Minnesota located at 2139 N 44th Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55412; Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.;
  • Contact their pediatrician or family medicine clinic about appointments;  
  • Visit mn.gov/vaccine to use the Find My Vaccine map to locate and contact providers near them; or
  • Utilize the CDC’s Vaccine Finder at vaccines.gov to find pharmacies offering pediatric vaccinations.
5th Grade Families: Save the Date for Incoming 6th Grade Information Night
St. Louis Park Middle School will host a Virtual Incoming 6th Grade Information Night at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 20. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks regarding how you can register for this event.

During this virtual event, students and families will be welcomed by school leaders, receive details about course registration, and participate in breakout rooms to learn more about St. Louis Park Middle School.
Recordings Now Available from Kindergarten Information Nights
If you have a student who is eligible to start Kindergarten in the Fall of 2022 and you weren't able to attend the two Kindergarten Information Nights on November 30 and December 2, recordings are now available for parents/guardians to watch on YouTube. Follow the links below to view the videos:

SLP Communicator and COVID Dashboard Will Not be Published During Winter Break
The SLP Communicator and the COVID Dashboard will NOT be published on the two Wednesdays (Dec. 22 & 29) during Winter Break. Both will return on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.
High School Select Choir Performs at Mall of America
The St. Louis Park High School Select Choir performed at the Mall of America's Huntington Bank Rotunda on Wednesday, December 15. Choir members include Naomi Butler, Natalie Hall, Katherine Healy, Kyle Kramlich, Leo Miller, Elena Mutchler, Elliott Netoff, Vivian Nielsen, Claire Patterson, Bailey Schneeberg and Aven Simmons.
