Coming Home: Proud SMA Alumni Share Their Journey

These were moments of pride and celebration—two SMA alumni returned to the High School campus in August and September to share their SMA memories and life journeys since graduation with the Corps of Cadets.

• SMA Alumnae Class of 2018 Phoenix Berman, News Writer and Producer at CBS Philadelphia, imparted amazing journalism wisdom to SMA-CPT Loyd's Yearbook/Journalism class. Phoenix previously worked for CNN International. She provided great insight to the interview process and talked about career opportunities for the Journalism field.

• SMA Alumnus Class of 2013, Jessiah Straw, Associate Vice President at Merit Holdings, spent the day on campus and addressed the Eagle Regiment at formation. He then met with the entire senior class emphasizing taking action now to position for greater possibilities tomorrow. The interactive dialogue included the college application process, career options, and more importantly, being proactive. He later met with individual classes in entrepreneurship, marine science, mathematics and English to name a few, and reiterated his message. Indeed, Jessiah’s advice and passion clearly was an inspiration to move cadets to action.
