Dear SMA Community,
This Holy Week has been extra special for SMA. We have grown closer to our faith through prayer, attending live Stations of the Cross, and a whole school Mass together. The 8th grade class did an amazing job reenacting the Stations in a powerful way students of all ages could understand well. It is an annual tradition at SMA.
I highly suggest attending the Tenebrae "Service of Light" tomorrow evening (Good Friday) at 7-8 pm in the church. Your very own Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Jacqui (preschool) will be singing in the choir along with Fr. Elmer and Fr. Chris. It is a special experience that immerses you into the story of Jesus' final days.
Our 3 year journey of preparing for accreditation is concluding today at 12:15 pm in the parish hall where the visiting team will present their findings to all constituents. My deepest gratitude goes to our accreditation leadership team (Mrs. Quintero, Ms. Newman, and Ms. Hilgeman), our faculty, staff, PTG, SMA Advisory Board, Fr. Elmer, and the hospitality team for working so diligently together throughout this process.
Remember that there is NO Spartan Care this afternoon. Dismissal is at noon.
I wish you a well-deserved, relaxing, and wonderful Easter break with family and friends. School resumes on April 8th.
Happy Easter
Jennifer Miller, Principal
