Dear St. Martin Community,
Last Friday was a "top of the mornin' kind of day" for SMA students and staff! The Malone School of Dance, featuring student Victoria Driscoll, performed for our school and shared interesting facts about their dance journeys. We even learned how to count in Gaelic.
As you know, the Walkathon has been rescheduled for Tuesday, 4/18 due to the rainy weather. We hope you will be able to join us on this new date. We still need volunteers. Contact Walkathon chairperson Rosario Santoyo or click here to sign-up. Lunch orders for 4/18's walkathon have been re-opened and can be ordered here. So far, SMA has raised a record $43,692 for Walkathon! Way to go! We are still fundraising via 99 pledges and accepting cash and checks for donations and $100 family sponsorships. Please see below for each class totals.
Students raising at least $50 in donations have received their Walkthon t-shirt this week. Next week will be our first spirit day on Tuesday 3/28. Students may wear their Walkathon t-shirt with uniform bottom. We also have our spring Pep Rally on Tuesday at 2 pm. Spring athletes should wear their sports jersey. Don't worry - there are 2 more chances to wear Walkathon shirts coming up!
It is time to elect new PTG executive officers for the next school year. The offices include president, vice president, secretary and treasurer. We are beyond grateful for our 2022-2023 officers who have done a remarkable job. President, Gen Suzuki, VP, Rosario Santoyo, Treasurer, Colm Driscoll and Secretary, Erin McCarthy. They are listed below. You are welcome to email them if you have questions regarding their positions. The PTG is also seeking volunteers interested in chairing committees. If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else, please email info51@stmartinacademy.org.
I hope to see you at the PTG dinner tomorrow at 5:00 pm. Jeni Bartel and crew have been working hard preparing a meatless meal to enjoy during the Build a Miracle presentation prior to student-led Stations of the Cross. Stations are at 6:45 pm in the church. Students attending will receive a relaxed dress coupon for Monday 3/27.
Lenten Blessings,
Jennifer Miller, Principal
