Dear SMA Community,

Exciting news for our school community! Thanks to our collective hard work, a generous donation from Randy Harrison, Class of 1966, and the continued support from Fr. Sproul's donation, the construction of our field, which is dedicated to Fr. Sproul, is currently underway. The funds raised from events like the Turkey Trot and Walkathon are being put to good use in revamping the field's irrigation system and slope. This renovation will help prevent the formation of large puddles that have been a nuisance in the past. The area will soon be filled with new soil and hybrid Bermuda sod, perfect for soaking up the sun. As we eagerly anticipate the completion of this project, we look forward to enjoying the refreshed field when the new school year begins!

I hope to see you all Sunday for Fr. Elmer's farewell gathering after the 11 am Mass. There will be a variety of food trucks and a short program.

Alexandra was the mother to Stella (gr. 4) who passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2024. Fr. Chris will be presiding at the funeral Mass at St. Martin of Tours Church on Monday, July 8, at 10:00 am

† Roberta Marie McElroy

Roberta was the mother of Cardinal Robert McElroy. She passed on June 19, 2024, at the age of 98 after a brief illness. She had a wonderful life and was eagerly looking forward to meeting God, whom she had loved and served so profoundly in this world.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday,

June 26th at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Angels Church in Burlingame.

† Ronald Rowe

Ron Rowe, grandfather to Donny Astley passed away recently.

There will be a service on June 29 at 10:00 am at Ocean View Church,

2460 Palm Ave, San Diego.
