Dear SMA Community,

I pray you are all enjoying a little bit slower pace now that the summer months are upon us. It's been great seeing many SMA students joining us at SMA summer camp. The giggles, singing, and playing are representative of what summer fun should be for little ones.

Middle School Students: It's not too late to sign up for TACSC Leadership Day or Overnight Summer Programs! Click here and scroll down to Summer Conference. Scholarships are available. Reach out to Gene Detre with any questions (925.954.7048).

Congratulations to our SMA artists who submitted pieces to the Del Mar Fair! Stop by and see their display through July 7th.

Summer office hours are Monday through Thursday 8 am-noon. We are closed June 19th and the week of July 1-5. Our first day of school will be Wednesday, August 21st (8 am - 12 pm).

La Mesa Library Summer Challenge

La Mesa Day Camp- June 10th - August 9th

A traditional day camp for children ages 5-13. Activities include crafts, games, theme activities, field trips, pool time, and all kinds of fun!

Alumni Updates

After graduating from St. Martin of Tours Academy in 2017, I set out on a new adventure at the Academy of Our Lady of Peace High School. I remained active in the St. Martin of Tours Parish through many activities such as Vacation Bible Camp leadership and the Youth Group leadership team. This helped me discover my passion for working with children of all ages and find myself as I continue to expand my horizons in life.

I graduated from OLP in an unconventional, but historical way due to COVID-19 as I entered a new chapter of life at San Diego Mesa College. I am currently a Junior at San Diego State University where I am majoring in Elementary Education. As I near the end of my college education I hope to one day become an elementary school teacher just like the wonderful teachers who taught me at SMA. Read More HERE.
