Mission Statement
St. Martin of Tours Academy fosters confidence, curiosity, and independence through a climate of cooperation and trust by preserving dignity throughout the learning process, accentuating all children’s God-given gifts in a Catholic environment.
Dear SMA Community,

Don't you love this cooler weather? It comes just in time for our SMA Fall Festival one week from tomorrow at 5-9 pm. If you use the QR codes below to purchase tickets/wristbands by Sunday 9/17, you get to skip the line! You can pick up your wrist bands and tickets in the office next Thursday or Friday. The Fall Festival committee would appreciate any gently used Halloween costumes for their rummage sale (adult, child, or pet). A drop off bin will be in the front of the school.

Thank you for joining us at our first school Mass yesterday morning. The choir created a joyful environment and our readers and altar servers were terrific. Congratulations to SMA's Student Council who pledged to promote kindness, peace and justice during their inauguration.

Today, students will bring home the reusable parent envelope stuffed with upcoming event flyers. Our first PTG meeting is Sept. 27th in the hall. Please plan to come. We are making it easy by offering childcare. Please assist our phenomenal office staff by returning the envelopes to school by Monday.

Our first Academy and Faith Formation sponsored Mass is this Sunday at 9 am, Catechetical Sunday. Students may come early to be greeters at the front doors of the church (8:45). We hope you join the 2nd grade for their bake sale, coffee and donuts in Barry hall following Mass. Dress uniform, please. Students in dress uniform will receive a "Free Dress" ticket to use on Monday, 9/18. I look forward to celebrating Mass together!

Speaking of coffee - Enjoy Hot Bev's Coffee truck in the parking lot next Thursday, which is also picture day (9/17). Please have your child in dress uniform. There are no forms to fill out or envelopes to bring in. Once the photos are taken, you will receive a link to view and/or purchase the portraits from JostensPix. The make-up day is October 18th. Jostens also is also our yearbook company.

Finally, our staff is extremely grateful and thankful for our parent volunteers. Putting faces to names helps us build stronger bonds. Lightening the load allows us to offer more for our students too!

Blessings,
Jennifer Miller
Principal

Campus Highlights!
In 7th-grade science, students delved into the captivating world of planetary geology through an engaging hands-on lesson led by Mrs. Broughton. Using a thoughtfully crafted model, she demonstrated how water and lava leave their marks on planets. The model featured sand (representing the geosphere), water (to mimic liquid erosion), and wax to simulate lava.
Alumni Return!

This week three local Catholic high schools had representatives talk about their schools to the 8th graders. It was a joy to see several of our alums share their experiences with the class.

Mater Dei Catholic - Liam Kingston, Bodie Friend and Sophia White
