SMA Prep Weekly
Middle School Campus
Here's what is happening at the Prep:
Dear Families,

It was another busy week as we wrapped up the end of 1st quarter, promoted a group to SMA-PFC, and celebrated with our families during Hispanic Heritage Night. We truly appreciate our families and are grateful for your active participation in our school community. We have another round of promotions coming up this week and again look forward to joining together with you in acknowledging the achievements of our cadets in earning their Corporal and Sergeant ranks.

Final grade reports will be accessible through the family portal . Please continue to communicate with your child's teachers with any questions regarding academic progress.

Thanks for being a part of our school community!

MAJ Becky Morris, Assistant Head of School
Learning in Action: Prehistory Inquiries

Prep cadets are learning to think like archaeologists as they grapple with prehistory questions in SMA-CPT Meissner’s IB World History course. Read more about the discussions that prompted SMA-CPT Meissner to send an email to Dr. Bruce Bradley, Emeritus Professor from the University of Exeter, to learn more about possible excavations of stone or wooden balls near Stonehenge. #IBMYP   #ourSMA   #IBworldschool

Flag Football

It was a close playoff game on Wednesday with SSAS edging out the SMA Prep flag football team, 26-23. The Eagles played well on both sides of the ball but fell short as SSAS scored on the last play of the game. Coach Rosenbloom said he was very proud of this team especially the way they matched SSAS score for score right up until the end. "We just ran out of time" he said.

Congratulations Eagles on a fantastic season!

Please keep your child healthy.

Cadets will have the opportunity to earn a shirt to wear on Fridays during the months of November and December. They can also enter our "Thank a Veteran" coloring contest by submitting the coloring page enclosed in the packet they received.
