Important Parking Update for Sunday Services

To ensure safety and efficiency, please take note of the following parking guidelines:

๐Ÿšซ No Parking on Gahagan Road โ€“ Parking on the shoulder is unsafe, and police may begin ticketing.

๐Ÿš— Small Vehicle Parking Only โ€“ The small lot in front of the Sanctuary is restricted to compact cars and small SUVs. Larger vehicles will not fit in the marked spaces.

๐Ÿ…ฟ๏ธ Overflow Parking & Shuttle Service โ€“ Early arrivals are encouraged to park at the Catholic School gravel lot on Black Oak Blvd. A shuttle will run to the church by 8:15 AM and back after services.

๐ŸŒฟ Field Parking โ€“ Once the Catholic School lot is full, overflow parking will be available in the field past the church. A short walk and footbridge lead to the building.

โ™ฟ Church Lot Reserved โ€“ The main church lot is designated for the elderly and those arriving late.

Thank you for your cooperation in making Sunday parking safe and smooth! ๐Ÿš˜๐Ÿ™

๏ปฟVolunteers Needed for Sunday Setup & Cleanup

We need 2-3 volunteers each Sunday morning (8:00-9:00 AM) to help set up chairs for worship.

After worship:

โœ… Folding chairs & round tables โ†’ Stored in Room 7

โœ… Blue padded chairs โ†’ Stacked in sets of 10 and stored in Room 6 using rolling carts

For safety reasons, we kindly ask that men handle chair stacking while women & children move to the back of the gym.

ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE

Join us for a solemn and reflective Ash Wednesday Service on Wednesday, March 5th, at 6:00 PM at Summerville Country Club. This sacred time marks the beginning of Lent, offering an opportunity for prayer, repentance, and the imposition of ashes. All are welcome to attend.

LENTEN WORSHIP

Join us for Lenten Worship every Thursday at 6:30 PM, beginning March 13th, at the Seventh Day Adventist Campus on Gahagan Road. These gatherings provide a time for reflection, prayer, and spiritual renewal as we journey through the Lenten season. All are welcome.

CONFIRMATION CLASSES

Summerville Methodistโ€™s Confirmation classes will begin Sunday, March 23, 2025. I will be the lead teacher. Our classes will be held from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Confirmation Sunday will be held on Pentecost Sunday, which is June 8, 2025.

We also need adult volunteers to serve as Confirmation Mentors, providing spiritual support and encouragement.

๏ปฟ

Additionally, students who have completed confirmation but want to grow further in their faith can serve as Junior Mentors, assisting mentors in supporting the confirmands.

SAFETY & ASSISTANCE TEAM

The SMC Safety & Assistance Team is seeking volunteers to help ensure a safe and welcoming environment for our church family. Our mission includes providing parking assistance, staying alert to suspicious activity, and offering help to those in need.

Our mission is Biblically based:

"Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has given you charge. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood." โ€” Acts 20:28

We are working to establish four teams, each consisting of a leader and three members, serving one Sunday per month. If you feel called to serve in this important ministry, weโ€™d love to have you join us. If you have questions, please contact Gus Holladay (843-209-6388) or Bruce Bohon (843-729-2096)

Sermon: "Jesus In Jerusalem, Part 1" โ€“ Pastor Ross

Liturgist: Arthur DeHay
