Advanced Location

Wireless Nurse Call

SMD Offers Both!

SMD representatives work with providers across the senior care continuum to assess the extent to which advanced technology is needed to accomplish their safety goals.

ReZcare Nurse Call

With ReZcare, residents can request assistance using a wall switch, pull cord or using a pendant. When a pendant is pressed, ReZcare notifies staff whose pendant has been pressed and, unless they are in their room, their approximate location.

The general location of a resident is annunciated on a handheld device, such as a radio. It is also displayed in list format on the central computer and any remote monitor. The list includes active notifications from ReZcare and any other integrated systems.

Customers who purchase the ReZcare Locate option will also see active calls from nurse call or other integrated systems displayed in list format. In addition, there is a static floor plan on the screen for staff reference. This is particularly useful for new or temporary staff less familar with the building layout.

ReZcare with Advanced Location

Advanced location provides an added benefit in that you can track residents, rather than locating them after they call for aid.

Do your staff spend an excessive amount of time tracking down active residents for medications, visitors or appointments? With advanced location, you can locate a resident with greater precision before they call for aid.

The infrastructure of your system will include beacons that interact with the advanced location pendants to identify someone's location whether they are in a friend's apartment, outside or in a common area.

Do your staff scurry to find a scale or other equipment shared among several units? By appying advanced location technology to asset tracking, shared equipment can be located more quickly, leaving staff with more time for resident care.

Decisions!

Your SMD representative will guide you through the decision- making process, which typically starts with a complimentary, on-site assessment. During the assessment they will inquire about your safety goals and the challenges you have reaching them. They will ask to tour your physical plant and grounds. Lastly, they ask about your residents and how much they move around your campus.

Some factors to consider:

  • What you hope to accomplish with your system
  • The size and layout of your physical plant and campus
  • Your residents' activity level
  • Your budget
