Habitat for Humanity
COVID-19 has impacted many vulnerable Albertans, but we are glad that we have such amazing members that continue to look out for the community.
Like many businesses, the  Medicine Hat ReStore - Habitat for Humanity  was deeply impacted by COVID-19 and they had to close their doors to the public in late March. Their team quickly shifted to creating an online shopping experience for the very first time, and the community response was overwhelming! Read their story

Navigating the Waters
As an ex-entrepreneur, if there really is such a thing, I lived through some tough times. I understand the angst that is brought on by economic downturns, recessions, and low commodity prices. COVID19 is no exception aside from the fact that it is a global issue which led all levels of government in Canada to step in and provide well intentioned supports. Read more

Advocacy in Action
Twinning of Highway 3
We have been advocating for the Twinning of Highway 3 for decades. The government has finally  announced  the twinning of a 46-kilometre stretch of Highway 3 between Taber and Burdett. Twinning Highway 3 will improve safety along this increasingly busy portion of the highway. Construction will begin in 2021 and the project will take about three years to complete. In addition to twinning, there will be key intersection improvements, in particular at Highway 877 at Grassy Lake. This stretch of Highway 3 sees about 3,900 vehicles per day.
