Grey Bruce Health Services is excited to announce that we are opening a brand new facility dedicated to supporting individuals with addictions and mental health needs. Thanks to funding from the Ministry of Health, the new facility, once fully operational, will have space to serve up to 45 inpatients, as well as outpatient services. The new facility will be located in a former public school in Owen Sound (Bayview School) on 6th A Street East.

This project is the first of its kind in this region, and is unique in Canada. Based on harm reduction and recovery principles, the centre will provide a safe environment for individuals in need of additional support following discharge from hospital/addiction services or who are being referred from a community agency.

The Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation is looking for volunteers!

We strive to involve volunteers in ways that are meaningful by partnering on the execution of events, long and short-term projects, fundraising initiatives and administrative tasks that provide opportunities to contribute in many ways to the Foundation itself, and the community beyond.

We have an immediate need for Gran Fondo Lake Huron Volunteers! Register online to be a volunteer at the Gran Fondo Lake Huron.

Members from Westinghouse, Shawflex and the Canadian Union of Skilled Workers were on hand to help deliver brand new bikes and helmets to youth in Saugeen Shores.

All three companies are returning sponsors of the Gran Fondo Lake Huron, presented by Bruce Power & Suppliers. This year, the kids’ community sponsors were able to provide 20 new bikes for youth through the Port Elgin Salvation Army Food Bank and the Saugeen First Nation Youth Centre.
