Among the nearly 34 million Americans who have contracted COVID-19 so far is a growing cohort who, after recovering from the illness, is experiencing Post-Acute Sequalae of COVID, otherwise known as Long COVID. Symptoms such as respiratory problems, exhaustion from even the slightest exertion, nerve pain, persistent headaches, and memory trouble sometimes referred to as “brain fog” plague sufferers for months or more. Physicians at the GW Medical Faculty Associates created a COVID-19 Recovery Clinic to offer recognition and relief.
