News from Mrs. Sims

On Thursday, four of our wonderful staff members were honored at the Years of Service Luncheon given by the Archdiocese.  Educators are recognized at milestone years for their dedication to the ministry of working in area Catholic schools.  This is an opportunity for all of us to celebrate and recognize the incredible service our teachers provide.  Please join me in thanking the following staff members:  Brenda Clark, Melanie Hagan, Pat Toombs, and Sara Voit. These women truly embody the vision and motto of St. Margaret Mary School.
Please also help us welcome Lydia Johnson to our staff!   Lydia writes...
Hello, my name is Lydia Johnson, your new cafeteria manager. I'm so very proud to now call this my new school family.  I have worked in several Catholic schools, St. Patrick, St. James of Louisville, and the last was Holy Cross,   I have been employed with the Archdiocese for over 10 years, and before then I was employed with the Commonwealth of Kentucky as an eligibility worker. I retired from there in 2004. I'm married with one son and a step daughter, and I have 10 wonderful grandchildren.  I now have the pleasure to spend the afternoon with your children. I hope to make them feel as comfortable as possible, and to learn about each and every one of them.  I would like to thank STMM for this opportunity and I will do the best that I can.  Please come by and have lunch with your child so I can have the pleasure of meeting my new school family.
May God Bless You and Your Family,
Wendy Sims
Stewardship Commitment Weekend
November 7 & 8

Our annual Stewardship campaign concludes this weekend at all masses on November 7/8
. This Sunday is considered Commitment Sunday where we ask every family to come forward ceremonially and place their commitment cards into an offering basket at all of the weekend Masses.
Stewardship is at the core of who we are as disciples who know, love and serve God. As Christian stewards, we receive God's gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others, and return them with increase to the Lord. (USCCB)
Please give prayerful consideration of your pledge of time, talent and treasure for 2016. Our new Blue Ribbon status is an attestation of our commitment to excellence in education for our families. With your support we can continue in this wonderful tradition.
As a reminder, 2015 pledges need to be current as of December 14, 2015. If this poses a problem for any family we ask that you contact the Parish Office to see how we can be of any assistance.
In Christ,
