News from Mrs. Sims
The weeks for March 7th and March 14th are the Terra Nova testing weeks set aside by the archdiocese. The teachers and I appreciate the effort you will make to help assure that the students are ready, willing, and able to test to the best of their ability. Here are some ideas for the students:
  • Stay relaxed and confident.
  • When nerves take over, students should remember to take several slow, deep breaths and relax.
  • During the test, students should try to answer questions in a strategic order; that is, answer the easy questions first to build confidence and tackle the difficult questions last.
  • Read test directions and text carefully.
  • When all else fails, students should guess; there is no credit for leaving something blank.
  • Review the test after completion to make sure they have bubbled correctly and read carefully.
Research has proven that crunchy snacks, hard candy, and chewing gum all aide children in concentration and stress reduction. Please send in crunchy and healthy snacks for these two weeks. School will provide the teachers with
peppermints and chewing gum to give to the students.
Thank you for your  support in this and all things.

May God Bless You and Your Family,
Wendy Sims
