News from Mrs. Sims

"Happiness isn't about getting what you want all the time.  It's about loving what you have and being grateful for it."

Let us all being grateful to God for our many gifts!  We are thankful for so many things here at St. Margaret Mary School. I am especially grateful this week for Mrs. Moth and all who have helped her make "James and the Giant Peach, Jr." come alive with the 6th grade musical.  The play is a treat with beautiful costumes and sets and or course, our talented 6th graders.  So much work goes into a production like this.  The children work together to create something special and magical.  We are all so proud of them!
My prayer for all of you as you get ready for Thanksgiving is that you are able to take time with your families and friends to celebrate God's blessings.  Cultivate the habit of being grateful this season.

May God Bless You and Your Family,
Wendy Sims
This afternoon the youngest or only child of each school family will bring home a light blue flyer providing detailed information about participating in the Jesse Tree. Solidarity
5 of 6 in a video series produced by USCCB and Catholic Relief Services on Catholic Social Teaching

Another important aspect about building a just society and living lives of holiness amidst the challenges of modern society is Solidarity. We are one human family whatever our national, racial, ethnic, economic, and ideological differences. We are our brother's and sisters' keepers, wherever they may be. At the core of the virtue of solidarity is the pursuit of justice and peace. Pope Paul VI taught that "if you want peace, work for justice." Learn more on Solidarity by viewing this video.
